Can I add chicks to my order?
We welcome you to reach out to us as long as we have sufficient chicks in stock. Feel free to message us!
Are chicks first come first-serve or can I order ahead?
To ensure that we can fulfill all orders, we highly encourage you to place your order in advance through our website. Any leftover chicks from a hatch will be available on our Facebook page. We suggest you search for us - EllaBea Creations & Hatchery - or simply click the Facebook logo located at the bottom of the page.
What are the best chicken breeds for beginners?
A wide variety of the breeds we provide are perfect for beginners, including Black Austalorps, Lavender Ameraucanas, Swedish Flower Hens, Salmon Faverolles, and Easter Eggers. Explore the breed profiles to learn more.
What should I feed my chicks?
Ensuring your chicks have the best start means providing them with a chick starter that contains at least 18-20% protein. I personally recommend Kalmbach 20% flock starter from Chewy. What should I feed my chickens?

How do I pick up my chicks?
Currently, we are only providing pick-up options. A week prior to the hatch date, we'll send you an email or text to confirm your pick-up instructions. You'll receive another text or email on the day of pick-up.
How do I choose the right breed for my needs?
Consider your goals: egg production, looks, meat, egg color, or ornamental value. We offer detailed breed profiles to help you select the best match. I always suggest that having a diverse mix of chickens is ideal.
Do you offer delivery?
For any delivery needs, please reach out to us, and we will explore what options we can arrange. If we have enough orders we may be able to arrange meetin a public space in Showlow, Alpine, Nutrioso, or more areas. Please note that delivery is not guaranteed. We do not ship.
How will I know which breed is which in my box if I buy multiple?
To assist in identifying different breeds, we will automatically band the chicks. Roosters will receive double bands. For details on breed color code bands, please visit our policy page. Please make sure to remove bands within a week. If you would prefer your chicks to be unbanded, kindly ensure to check the appropriate box at checkout.
